The Chambers Global Guide, one of the most prestigious global legal directories, has just released its 2021 rankings in which Oraro & Company Advocates bagged exemplary rankings in four of its key practice areas – Dispute Resolution, Employment & Labour, Banking & Finance, and Real Estate.
Chambers Global noted our Dispute Resolution heritage noting that the firm has a front-running team that is best placed to represent domestic and multinational clients across a spectrum of big-ticket disputes, including complex banking, tax, constitutional cases, procurement, employment and energy-related disputes. It further interviewed clients who enthused that our team “…do not compromise on the quality of legal representation they offer, no matter the importance of value of a matter.”
Our lawyers equally received outstanding rankings with our Senior Partner, George Oraro SC retaining the prestigious ‘Star Individual’ accolade in Dispute Resolution which is accorded to lawyers with exceptional recommendations in their field. George remains the only lawyer ranked in this category in Kenya. He is also ranked a Band 1 lawyer in Dispute Resolution: Arbitrators, receiving a plethora of praise from the Kenyan legal community for being “one of the best lawyers Kenya has” and “without a doubt among the leading individuals in litigation and arbitration.”

Each year, Chambers Global Guide independently identifies and ranks top lawyers and law firms in over 200 jurisdictions across the globe. The rankings are based on extensive research and one-on-one client interviews. The Guide assesses the quality and magnitude of cases or transactions handled by each firm, technical ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness/astuteness and commitment to providing solutions to clients, among other qualities.
