BACKGROUND
Ajak is an Associate in the Litigation Department. He specialises in commercial litigation, arbitration, environment and land law, employment and labour relations, constitutional law, international human rights law, and legislative bill review and drafting.
He has reviewed numerous parliamentary bills and draft legislative regulations and proposed legislative recommendations and/or implications thereon.
Ajak holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from Moi University and a Post-graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He also has a Certificate in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies (Oxford University).
EXPERIENCE
- Part of a team advising and representing a commercial bank in a claim for loss of investment opportunity by an investor that is currently under review before the Supreme Court for a leave to appeal to the Supreme Court.
- Part of a team representing an insurance company in an abrogation claim for KES. 33 million.
- Part of a team advising and defending a company in a claim of judgment debt worth KES. 55 million before the Court of Appeal.
- Part of a team advising and defending an insurance company against a claim for alleged override commission amounting to KES. 731 million.
- Part of a team representing a commercial bank pensions scheme in a land dispute where stood a development valued at KES. 1.7 billion.
