#Ourveryown Senior Associate Claire Mwangi, Associates Wambui Mwariri and Madikizela Otieno, along with Legal Assistants Venessa Sifunjo, Leanne Agutu and Peter Nganga, visited the Runda/Githogoro Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Centre which offers counselling, shelter, legal aid, and medical care to survivors of GBV.

The visit aimed to raise awareness about GBV, which impacts millions every year, with women and children being the most vulnerable. Engaging with the local administration, centre’s staff and survivors helped in understanding the challenges faced by those affected and highlighted the importance of collective action in addressing this crisis. This initiative underscores the need for community support, advocacy, and sustainable solutions to create a safer and more equitable society for all.
