Oraro & Co. Advocates, is proud to welcome to the firm Geoffrey Muchiri (formerly of Inamdar & Inamdar Advocates) and Nelly Gitau(formerly of Harrison, Hamilton and Matthews), as partners. Both lawyers are known as some of the brightest in their respective areas of specialisation(dispute resolution and corporate/commercial). Geoffrey will be part of the firm’s well-recognized dispute resolution team, his practice focuses on Commercial litigation. He is particularly known for his work representing clients in admiralty and maritime, oil & gas and insurance disputes. Geoffrey also has experience handling alternative dispute resolution matters. He previously advised international clients involved in energy, oil & gas transactions. Geoffrey holds a LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of Birmingham and brings considerable commercial and dispute resolution expertise to the firm.

Nelly Gitau’s practice covers corporate/commercial and real estate matters, with a particular focus on creating and perfecting bank securities. Nelly brings considerable commercial expertise to the firm as she has over 8 years of experience advising several local and multinational clients(in different sectors). She has worked on a variety of commercial transactions, such as business formation, joint ventures and M&A deals. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Law Society of Kenya. Nelly Gitau will be a partner in the firm’s corporate/commercial and real estate and conveyancing teams
