#Ourveryown Partner James Kituku, Associate Zahra Omar and Legal Assistants Wilson Mwania, Stacie Manani, Faith Cherop and Naisula Ntaiya visited the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Centre at the Runda Police Station, which provides shelter, counselling, legal aid, and medical care to survivors.
The team met with community leaders protecting the rights of GBV victims including the Chief of Karura sub location, the Nyumba Kumi Chaiperson and children’s officer for Githogoro and Shinning Hope for the Community (SHOFCO) representatives and vulnerable women from Githogoro community.
Oraro and Company Advocates has organized a charity drive which will run from today, December 20th 2023, to January 10th 2024 to create awareness on GBV which affects millions of people every year, particularly women and children.
